Gender Lens Training

Our target group are women villagers, a traditional mulberry silk cultivating communi ty in Buriram The proposed business model will use local wisdom to maintain the quality of silk floss residues fertilizer, and to introduce weather forecast technologies and the concept of women’s roles in climate change adaptation activities, to assist them to become smart farmers. The women’s roles, in particular, will be promoted, as they play the main part in raising the children, sustaining the families, and keeping the traditions.

Introduction to gender inclusiveness in climate change adaptation plan

With the following slides, Ms. Orawan Yafa, the project manager, introduced the concept of gender inclusiveness to the participants and showed them basic vocabularies. She encouraged the participants to adopt the idea to their respective communities’ climate change adaptation plan.
