Objectives:
1. To introduce digital marketing techniques for silk mulberry farmers and local officers
Target participants: 50 male and 50 female Phearam mulberry farmers and local officers
1st Social Marketing Training for Local Administration
30 participants who are local leaders interested in social media attended this session. They are introduced to basic knowledge about the social media management, so that they can assist the villagers to publicize their products and the unique characteristics of the village.
Nowadays, communication via social media has become very popular. From a study by We Are Social, an agency company from the United Kingdom, and Hootsuite, a social media management tool company, for January 2021 (https://wearesocial.com/blog/2021/01/digital-2021-the- latest-insights-into-the-state-of-digital), recently found that there are more than 4,600 million internet users worldwide. More than 5.22 billion mobile phones, more than 4.2 billion social media accounts, or more than 53 percent of the world's total population. In the part of Thailand (https://datareportal.com/reports/digital-2021-thailand). There is a population of 69.88 million people, divided into 51.4% women and 48.6% men, approximately 51.8% of the total population living in an urban area There are 90.66 million mobile phone numbers, which is more than the entire Thai population. Meanwhile, Thai people accessing the internet and popularly use social media via mobile phone.
Thai people spend an average of 5.07 hours per day on the social media, which is the third highest in the world and if counting the use of the entire internet system, Thai people's use of the internet has increased to an average of 10 hours per day, or 41% of their time spent in one day.
In this regard, Thai social media users are number one in using Facebook, followed by YouTube and Line. Therefore, various communications reaching the target group need to be studied and adjusted in order to make communication more efficient and effective aimed at adapting and changing behavior that leads to personal development and society change as well promoting and sharing of experience on climate change adaptation innovation.
The participants showed high interest in learning more about social media so that they can utilize it for many purposes to generate income to be prepared for future challenges.
