Project Duration : August 2023 – December 2024
1. To raise awareness on the climate change impacts on the
silk mulberry farming
2. To introduce innovations/technologies for climate change adaptation for
farmers
3. To introduce gender inclusiveness for climate change adaptation activities
4. To introduce a soil preparation technique for silk mulberry farming
5. To introduce digital marketing techniques for silk mulberry farmers and
local officers
The project will be unique as it will be a first in Thailand to tackle silk mulberry cultivation from the climate change adaptation angle. It will be innovative because we will encourage them to blend local wisdom with existing digital technologies to be able to plan their activities as well as maintain the quality of silk floss residue fertilizer. A special soil preparation method called “Khet Kam” will also be introduced. In addition, we will introduce the concept of inclusive, gender responsiveness in planning project activities. This will be an innovative process which has never been conducted before in Thailand.
